About the role
Our clients depend on us to recommend and supply electrical equipment that meets strict project and grid standards. As Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be the technical voice behind our proposals, reviewing specifications and making sure every product we represent is fit for purpose.
You will work alongside our project managers and sales team, supporting tenders and resolving technical questions from clients and manufacturers.
What you’ll do
- Review client specifications, single-line diagrams, and technical schedules
- Evaluate manufacturer offerings for compliance with IEC/IEEE and local grid codes
- Prepare technical clarifications and deviation lists for tenders
- Support factory acceptance tests and technical site visits
- Advise on transformer, switchgear, UPS, and generator selection
- Build technical training material for the commercial team
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 6+ years’ experience with HV/MV distribution, switchgear, or backup power systems
- Strong understanding of IEC/IEEE standards and protection principles
- Experience in power generation, utilities, or data center projects
- Clear communicator, able to explain technical detail to non-engineers
- Chartered or professional engineer status desirable
- Based in Texas, or willing to relocate to Texas (this role is not open to remote work from other states)
